White Fused Alumina


    White aluminium oxide abrasive is electrically fused in an arc furnace from bayer processed alumina as raw material.AL2O3content is generally higher than 98%. As compared with brown aluminium oxide abrasive, the toughness of white aluminium oxide abrasive is slightly lower, but it has a higher hardness and better cutting characteristics. Abrasive articles made of. it are suited for grinding of hardened alloy steel, high-speed steel and high-carbon steel workpieces and cutters. Abrasive powder of finer grit size can also be used for precision casting.
